Embracing the cactus - what stops us from taking the climate crisis into our hearts and hands - and what can happen when we do?
You are not alone if you are worried about climate change but feel it’s too big a problem for you to do something about. 80% of Australians are concerned about the crisis - and here we all are; like kangaroos in the headlights.
We risk peering into the dark and seeing the light - to dive into moments that ‘changed everything’ about how someone sees themselves in a climate changed world, we also hear from social researcher Dr Rebecca Huntley on what shapes public opinion about the crisis, and track our small town’s struggle to acknowledge we’ve got a climate problem.

Stepping through a crack in the fabric of the universe, where the past and the future collide, Australian documentary maker Kyla Brettle starts to unravel the history of a small patch of bush near her home in Barkers Creek and finds herself in a much bigger story. Guided by her children, an ecologist, a landcare volunteer and a local First Nation's Elder, Kyla digs into the connections between people and place and how the different ways we see an environment manifest in the world around us.

End Game

End Game is a podcast produced by Kyla Brettle and Rob Law. Kyla and Rob live on different creeks in the same small country town and share an interest in sound, music, story and climate change.

Endgame explores how the climate crisis connects us with being human - the good and the difficult. How it challenges us to think about what we love, how we live our lives and and how our children will survive - but also reminds us of what we are capable of.

Set in a small country town in Australia against a collage of key thinkers around the world, the show is a sonic adventure into our hearts and minds on climate change . Peering into the gloom, Kyla Brettle and Rob Law examine what makes us tick - unravelling some of the mysteries of our response to the crisis and ways others are moving through it.

It’s a story about the connection between big and little things - and an invitation to  sit back and gaze out the window with the headphones on - to let it wash over you and hear things differently.
